Our care home offers beautiful rooms and grounds
Located in the bustling town of Fordingbridge, right on the doorstep of the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, Allenbrook Care Home is a beautiful converted manor house. Whilst all our rooms are fully furnished, they are neutrally decorated so if you wish to bring your own furniture and belongings with you when you move in, you can be sure they will fit right in so you feel at home. Many of our rooms still have original period features including fireplaces, and views over our extensive grounds.
Our beautiful mature landscaped garden is the pride and joy of Allenbrook and is regularly enjoyed by all our residents, even those with mobility difficulties thanks to our wheelchair friendly paths. Bursting with colourful hanging baskets and flower beds during spring and summer, our garden is a popular place to take stroll with visiting family and friends and we hold various social events here, including our renowned bonfire night complete with magnificent firework display!
Keeping your body and mind active
To keep everyone’s minds and bodies active, residents of the Fordingbridge care home also enjoy trying their hand at the large number of activities we organise, from quizzes and arts and crafts to armchair exercises and the ever-popular visiting zoos! There really is something for everyone and we love nothing more than when our residents make suggestions for things they would like to try.
One of the best things about living at Allenbrook is the food. No longer will you have to worry about food shopping, cooking and the dreaded washing up. Instead, you will be served a delicious meal three times a day that has been prepared by our chef to be both tasty and nourishing. We like to mix it up here at Allenbrook, so you can be sure of an ever-changing menu that complements the seasons. A sample menu includes porridge and eggs and bacon for breakfast, sausage casserole followed by blackcurrant cheesecake for lunch and ravioli and ice cream for dinner and dessert.
