Rooms

At Allenbrook, a range of room types and sizes are available, many having en-suite facilities. A number of the rooms have period features including original fireplaces and many have views over the extensive grounds.

Rooms are fully furnished and decorated in a neutral colour to allow personalisation from each resident. Our team can help you change the layout or furnishings of your room to suit your individual needs.

New residents are always encouraged to bring their own additional furniture and personal effects, to make the room feel unique and a 'home from home'. Allenbrook understands the move into a room can be a difficult transition, but encourage all residents to personalise their space; hang a picture or bring a chair to make the room ‘your own’.

Facilities

Allenbrook is extremely proud of the mature and beautiful landscaped gardens and wheelchair accessible thanks to the new pathways. Residents can enjoy the spacious surroundings and meet with family and friends in this beautiful setting.

The extensive terrace is scattered with colourful hanging baskets and flowering tubs from mid-May to the end of summer. This is the perfect setting for various social events from summer barbecues to the annual Bonfire Night Fireworks display.

Inside the home, the facilities are maintained to the highest standards to ensure the best possible level of care. Offering residents, the opportunity to meet the activities team and get involved with armchair exercises, quizzes, arts and crafts and a range of other activities to keep them entertained.

Dining

Food is one of life’s simple pleasures, and important for our wellbeing. All residents can enjoy excellent cuisine and a sociable atmosphere in the elegant dining room. Alternatively, they may prefer to dine quietly in their own room.

Fresh quality ingredients are delivered on a regular basis to provide residents with home-cooked and appetising dishes, all prepared daily.

The staff understand how important diet is and so, as you would expect, the menus are tailored to provide balanced, nutritious and wholesome cuisine. Allenbrook are happy to cater for all tastes and dietary requirements.

A selection of fresh fruits, snacks and beverages are always available for residents and their guests to enjoy.

Activities

An apple a day may keep the doctor away but keeping the mind, body and soul active is a great recipe for longer living and happiness!

By tailoring a broad range of activities helps to achieve many objectives. The importance for some is maintaining strength, flexibility and finding balance; for others, it is stimulation, interaction and finding enjoyment in what they do.

Allenbrook has an activities team which organises daily group sessions, events and entertainment. The staff also take part in organising cinema nights, music sessions and sing-a-longs.

The Home is also equipped with extensive, free Wi-Fi, allowing you to get online, email family and friends or even Skype for a virtual face to face chat. In addition, trips and days out are regularly organised with staff and families.
