Why Allenbrook?

Established in 1989, Allenbrook has been the main provider of Care in the Fordingbridge area for almost 30 years. The Home is closely linked to the local community and has built an excellent reputation for providing first class care in beautiful surroundings.

The aim at Allenbrook is to provide accommodation that feels like “home” but provides all the care, support and security needed for comfortable day to day living.

All staff are well-trained and knowledgeable but just as importantly, friendly and welcoming. Helping to create the friendly and welcoming which helps to create the family atmosphere that our Home has become known for.

Allenbrook tailors a broad range of activities to achieve many objectives. The importance for some is maintaining strength, flexibility and finding balance; for others, it is stimulation, interaction and finding enjoyment in what they do.

As well as having its own in-house activities team, the home has a programme of professional entertainers visiting weekly and free wi-fi throughout the building to allow access to the internet.

Respite Care

Respite and Day Care for individuals living in their own home is one of the most important services that is provided at Allenbrook Fordingbridge. Carers or family members often need a break to recharge their batteries from the demands of providing 24-hour care.

Most respite clients use the Home regularly for short stays. This allows the staff at Allenbrook to get to know them well and understand exactly what is required from their stay. In some cases, this is simply to rest and enjoy the surroundings, in others, it is the opportunity to join in with the programme of activities and treat the stay as a holiday
